RULES OF  ENGAGEMENT IN THE "Queen of Humanity" Pageantry (QOHnaija), 2024

Contestant

Rules:

 

1. Contestants must be 18-30 years old, Nigerian citizens, and meet eligibility requirements.

2. Contestants must reside in the provided accommodation (the "House") for the duration of the show.

3. Contestants must participate in all scheduled activities, tasks, and events.

4. Contestants must adhere to the show's schedule and timeline.5.  Contestants must treat fellow contestants, staff, and judges with respect and dignity.

6.  No form of bullying, harassment, or intimidation will be tolerated.

7.  Contestants must refrain from using profanity, insolent language, or gestures.

House

Rules:

 

1. Respect fellow contestants and staff.

2. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in shared spaces.

3. No smoking, alcohol consumption, or substance abuse.

4. Physical violence, harassment, or bullying will result in immediate disqualification.

5. Contestants' phones and personal devices will be confiscated upon entry.

6. Contestants will have limited access to external communication (e.g., email, phone calls).

7. Contestants must use designated communication channels for family emergencies.

8. No external communication (phones, social media, etc.) unless authorised.

9. No sharing of personal items or clothing.

10. No unauthorised guests or visitors.

11 . No removal or damage of provided amenities or equipment.

Task

Rules:

 

1. Follow instructions and guidelines for each task.

2. No collaboration or sharing of information during individual tasks.

3. No external assistance or resources unless authorised.

4. Adhere to time limits and deadlines.

Confidentiality

Rule:

Confidentiality Rule:

1. Contestants must maintain confidentiality about show events, challenges, and outcomes.

2. No disclosure of sensitive information to external parties, including social media.

3. Contestants must sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before entering the competition.

Full compliance to the requirements and rules of engagement is pivotal point for all contestants

Event Producer

Confidentiality and Media:

1. Abide by show rules and regulations.
2. Participate fully in the competition.
3.  Contestants must maintain confidentiality about show events and outcomes.
4.  No disclosure of sensitive information to external parties.
5.  Grant permission for filming, recording, and broadcasting.
6. Contestants must comply with media engagements and interviews.
7. Contestants must comply with show producers’ guidelines for social media usage.

Health and Safety:

1. Report any medical concerns or emergencies to camp commander.
2. Follow safety guidelines and protocols.
3. Participate in mandatory health checks and screenings.

Elimination and Disqualification:

1. Failure to comply with rules may result in warnings, penalties, or elimination.
2. Violation of serious rules (e.g., physical violence) may lead to immediate disqualification.
3. Contestants may be eliminated  or evicted based on performance, peer voting, or judges’ decisions.

Additional Guidelines:

1. Respect cultural and religious diversity.
2. Maintain professional conduct and sportsmanship.
3. No sabotaging or undermining fellow contestants.

Rule Amendments:

1. The show producers reserve the right to modify or add rules as necessary.
2.  Contestants will be notified of any changes.
3.   Show producers and staff will enforce rules and provide guidance

Prizes and Awards:

1. The winner will receive the designated prize package.
2. Runner-ups will receive smaller prizes or recognition.
3. Contestants must participate in prize-giving ceremonies and events.

Governing Law:

1. The competition will be governed by Nigerian laws and regulations.
2. Disputes will be resolved through arbitration.

 

REQUIRED ITEMS FOR CONTESTANTS TO BRING TO CAMP:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Pack lightly and efficiently.
2. Label personal items to prevent loss.
3.  Check with pageant organisers for specific requirements.
4. Consider bringing a small gift for fellow contestants.

ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTS:

1. Valid ID (passport, driver’s license, or national ID)
2. Birth certificate
3. Medical certificate

CLOTHING/ACCESSORIES:

1. Evening gowns for finale (2-3)
2. Cocktail dresses for party (2-3)
3. Casual wear (2-3 blue jeans, white tops, leggings)
4. Swimwear for beachwear segment (2-3)
5. Traditional Nigerian attire for cultural presentation (2-3)
6. Undergarments and socks
7. Shoes (high heels, flats, sandals, white sneaker)
8. Jewellery (few, elegant pieces)
9. Hair accessories (ties, clips, headbands, Sash or ribbon)
10. Slippers or flip-flops
11. Comfortable clothing (pyjamas)
